Longevity in the music industry isn't easy, remaining relevant is even more difficult: David Bowie.

David Bowie said "Longevity in the music industry isn't easy, remaining relevant is even more difficult" However, this applies to mostly everything in the consumer market. As providers, were are aware that brand recognition leads to sales. In order to attract potential clients or customers, the image or brand has to be kept current and alive. We are aware that a marketing budget might not  be available to do big changes, hence, following are few basic marketing tips  "You would not be forgotten" that should be implemented if they are not in place by now.

             1. Always follow up:
          Regardless of a new or  current clients, an acknowledgement after a meeting, visit, conference or important call is basic but key element. At least say "Thank You". Don't wait for the client to get back to you. Do respond to calls or any communication in a timely fashion.  It can help you increase sales either by volume or expansion of  the line. Going "Back to Basic" can be good.

             2. Keep your "Social Media" or digital venues current:
                 Keep all your sites and profiles up to date. Educate the consumer and public of your product or services. Know how to engage with them. "Not remembered, but never forgotten". 

              3. Advertising:
                  If you are spending money in advertising make sure that your ads targeting the current market trends of your product. 

              4. Do research:
                       The Internet is a fountain of wealth. Use it well, wisely and to your advantage. Educate yourself about your product and trends. What is good for the general public might not be necessary good for you.
                 Know you audience. Know you product.

        5.To get the most of your product and strategies is recommended to hire experienced professionals to get a more realistic and objective point of view in how the marketing tools of the company are  being used. These people have the "know how" of where to look, how to look and when. A good assessment and training could be a fresh start.
